Favorite Hamster
Some you seem to feel closer to than others, but as time goes on, you feel close to that one too. I loved my white one with red eyes and grieved so when he passed away. But the three I have now have wriggled their ways into my heart.
Chrissy, my only female has a stripe down her back, the traditional Campbell. She runs free in my closet and is very proud of that. She has made her bed under a curl of the blanket on the floor in the corner. She comes when I call her and is very friendly.
Hank, my old 2 year old Campbell, didn't trust most of his life because he had been given a hard time by his siblings before I got him and until I separated him from his brother. But now, at 2 years old he is active and wants to be picked up. Sometimes, he gets to run free in the closet when Chrissy is in her cage and I close the door.
Benny is the Syrian. He has two large tub cages, and an extra large coffee can for his bed. He will come out and into my hand when it's wake up time. He is up all night shelling peanuts and putting them in his dish for me to pick up in the morning. He has a 12 inch wheel and keeps that busy all night too. He is 2 now and likes to be picked up and brought out for a little while, though we have to stay up late if we want to see him.
What is my favorite - I would have to say my favorite is what is in my hand!!
